So lately we’ve been lucky enough to get some gorgeous weather and although I am pretty much an all or nothing kinda girl when it comes to makeup; If I’m just having one of those days when I look in the mirror and feel a little, well, shit, then I do like to put something on my face, even if I’m just at home.
I find that having a tanned face always makes me look so much healthier. I fake tan so my body is nice and brown but my face is usually quite pale, even after tanning it, so I use a foundation to match my face to my body. I love having glowy, dewy skin so this combo is exactly a ‘my skin but better’.
First, it’s really important to moisturise. Once I’ve moisturised I spray my face with Mac Mineralize Charged Water: Revitalizing Energy for extra moisture. Next, I mix Mac Studio Fix Foundation and Mac Face + Body Foundation and 1 drop of Iconic London Illuminating Drops together and work it into my skin with a damp Beautyblender. This gives good coverage and a radiant glow without being cakey. Because the Studio Fix is a full coverage foundation I don’t need to use a concealer. I then use my RCMA translucent powder to set my whole face. This powder is so finely milled that you can’t even see it on the face. I’ll then lightly fill in my brows to keep them natural. I’ve been trying out the NYX Micro Brow Pencil. Then I pop on some Mascara to my lashes. I use my favorite, L’Oreal Telescopic. To make my eyes stand out and look wider I use a Nude Eye Pencil on my waterline. On my lips, I opt for a lip gloss and it really finishes off the look perfectly. I’ve been loving Kylie ‘So Cute’ as it’s highly pigmented and give a nice colour to the lips.
For a bit of extra glow, I use a highlighter on the high points of my face where the sun would naturally hit my face. Lately, I’ve rediscovered my GOSH Giant Sun Powder. It’s a gorgeous bronzy highlighter that can be used on the face and body. I dust it over my collarbone and shoulders after I’ve applied sun cream. It glistens in the sunlight and is stunning!
And that is all I use. This look would be perfect for the holiday or by the pool or the beach. I’d probably wear a waterproof mascara instead and finish off with some setting spray to keep the all in place.
