This palette is life!!

Laura Lee x Violet Voss Palette

When I first heard that Laura Lee was releasing her first eyeshadow palette I was so excited. I knew it wouldn’t be a ‘neutral’ palette that I find so dull. Don’t get me wrong, if you like a ‘neutral’ palette then that’s fine. I just think once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. I knew this palette would reflect her fun, bubbly and slightly bonkers personality; I was right. The only small glitch was that it wasn’t available in the UK. Sometimes I absolutely hate living here due to the fact that so many makeup brands just aren’t accessible; well unless you want to pay an extortionate amount for shipping and customs! Well anyway, it sold out within about 10 minutes of going on sale. That burst my bubble! It did eventually become available on ‘Beauty Bay’, but again, I just wasn’t quick enough.  It really wasn’t meant to be. I’d heard so many mixed reviews that the shadows themselves weren’t overly pigmented and it was a bit disappointing. I still wanted it.

20 Full Pan Shadows

After months of just accepting the fact I’d never own this palette, I had an email from ‘Beauty Bay’ to say it was going to be restocked. I didn’t even read the email, I just saw the palette and I was on that website quicker than anything! No way was it going to sell out again afore I’d got my hands on it! It arrived the next day and it was a special moment.  I had to take a moment before opening the lid. I thought the ‘Modern Renaissance’ was going to be my favourite for a long time; no more. Laura Lee Palette is on another level.

❤️

The range of colours is beautiful. There are 20 full pan shades. I personally love warm shades, especially oranges as they go so well with my grey eyes; these shades dominate this palette. It has 8 mattes, 2 satins, 2 dual chrome and 6 foiled and 2 metallics shadows.  I’ve no other palette like this and I can’t imagine ever running out of eye looks with it. It’s an all round great palette, it even has a black, which so many palettes do not have.

L-R BASIC, SUGAR, PRISS POT, MAMA BIRD, RAGA MUFFIN
L-R LARLEE, TICKLED PINK, HISSY FIT, BITTY, 1988
L-R FLEEKY, BRITCHES, FRIED, YOSHI, RAMMER JAMMER
L-R ALABAMA, WISKERS, BUBS, SMASHLEE, LOU

I’ve only been able to experiment a few looks so far as I have an eye infection. But as soon as my eyes are back to normal I’ll do an updated post with looks that I’ve created. So far the shadows blend out nicely and I’m definitely glad I made the purchase. Just wish I’d had it sooner!

Let me know what you think of this palette. Do you have the ‘Holy Grail’ palette? What do you think of that one?

Have a wonderful day!

I know! Don’t they say,’everything comes to those who wait’? I was patient 🙂

I’ve been tempted by the drenched metal palette but I have too many colourful palettes! xo
