Just A Few Sprays And Mists I Currently Use

The first mist I used was The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist and I really didn’t get the best out of it. I only started to realise how good it was once it was coming to its end date. I used moisturisers so didn’t reach for the sprays. I always keep a ‘First Aid Beauty Vitamin Hydrating Mist’ in my handbag for when I need a bit of freshening up throughout the day but didn’t think to apply it before my makeup or after using a moisturiser. This one is especially good on warmer days and is fine for sensitive skin.

Vitamin Sprays

When I went into Mac ages ago and picked up the Mineralize Charge Water, not because I needed it but because it sounded like it would do good things. It had minerals and would ‘charge’ me. Why not?! Anyway, I started incorporating it into my skincare routine before applying my makeup in the morning. My makeup looks so much better and blends in a lot nicer. It’s so refreshing spraying a cool mist on your face in the morning. It definitely awakens me. I wouldn’t be without this now. I use it every day.

Mac Fix Plus + Charged Water

On days when I’m not wearing any makeup, I love using The Body Shop Vitamin C Energising Face Mist, It’s cooling on the skin and smells so fresh and zesty. Recently I’ve started using it after applying the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser which also smells the same. It’s a gel-like formula which is great for someone with oily skin like mine. It absorbs in really quickly and leaves your skin soft and residue free.

Setting + Finishing Sprays

I also love Mac fix plus which can be used before applying makeup and also after to help your makeup look more skin-like. It also helps the makeup blend together to give the perfect finish. It has a ton of uses so you get a lot more than just a primer water. I think it’s a makeup lover must-have. I don’t use it was a setting spray though, I’d use one of the 3 I currently own, which are Urban Decay All Nighter (I keep this for days when I really want my makeup to stay put, like special occasions) NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray is my usual go to as it’s super affordable and isn’t going to break the bank to repurchase. It comes in a Matte version which I haven’t tried. I’m all about the dewy look, to be honest. I recently bought the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray in Lemongrass, I don’t reach for it often as I really don’t like the smell. I don’t know what I was thinking, It makes my face smell like I’ve just walked into a Thai restaurant. I love Thai food but I don’t want my face to smell like it. I wish I’d gone for one of the others scents!

Let me know what you think of setting sprays and which ones you would recommend.

Have an amazing day or evening!
